Drygoods Shop Opens Saturday, July 3!

The Drygoods Shop, located in the former Meadows Dry Goods space at 474 Haywood Road (and next door to where Dustin Spagnola recently set up studio) is having a party! This Saturday, July 3, from 5-8pm, the ladies of the United Craft Front will be opening their doors and celebrating the creation of this center for all things handmade! A description of the Drygoods Shop from their blog:
The DryGoods Shop is a place to buy handmade and a new gathering space for people to learn how to make stuff for their lives. Bring your projects and work at our community tables, meet other folks and have fun making. We aim to create a modern link with the rich crafts heritage of the Southern Appalachians, offering local and handmade products, with a respect for the vintage, recycled, and totally unique. Welcome to a shop for the creative independent in all of us...

I'm really excited to see what United Craft Front will do; there's lots of new (to me) faces, and it is totally awesome to see some of the rad vendors from last year's Howard Street Handmade (the Craft Market the Cake Shop hosted next door to us- in what is now the Farm Girl space).

Come out to the party- live music, drinks, snacks, and I will be hustling my craft- Cupcakes!
